CUSTOM EXCURSION | Winter magic on Jänissaari - a day trip to the uninhabited wilderness
The excursion is carried out by order at a separately agreed time.
Departure and return: Möhkö village, Mantan Majatalo. Koulurannantie 3 a, 82980 Möhkö.
Group size: 6–16 people.
Excursion duration: 6 hours including preparation and coffee break.
The first stage of the excursion is to transfer from Mantan Majatalo in Möhkö by snowmobile sled ride or Kickspark kick sleds to the ancient Jänissaari in Nuorajärvi, a journey of about ten kilometers.
In Jänissaari, a nature camp awaits you, equipped with a kota (Lappish hut) and a warm yurt tent. After an outdoor lunch, you will get into the wilderness spirit. Can you just relax? Enjoy the hum of the fire in the stove and perhaps even take a nap? If you wish, you have the opportunity to try snowshoeing and ice fishing. The excursion day is crowned by delicious campfire pancakes and authentic sooty pot coffee.
At the end of the day, we return to Möhkö by snowmobile sled ride or by kick sleds.
All our excursions are implemented on a full-service basis, led by guides from Mantan Nature Services. The foundation of our excursions is shared experiences and activities, without forgetting the joy of exercise. The small group size ensures that the excursion program can be adapted according to the wishes of the participants.
Excursion price: 95.00 €/ person, for group sizes of 6 - 10 people. 75.00 €/ person, for group sizes of 11 - 16 people. Larger and smaller groups by separate agreement.
Equipment: Weather-appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear suitable for winter outdoor activities. We provide winter overalls, beanies, gloves, and warm shoes, as well as all other necessary equipment.
Additional services: Accommodation, sauna, dining services from dinners to breakfasts, Forest Mind exercises, nature crafts packages, team adventures. We are happy to tell you everything that wintery Möhkö has to offer!
Other things to note: We take into account the prevailing coronavirus situation and the regulations and guidelines it brings to our operations. By following the given instructions, you can safely participate in our excursions. Please do not participate in our excursions if you have respiratory or other flu symptoms or if you have potentially been exposed to the coronavirus.
