The rich history of Möhkö Ironworks in Finland's easternmost village is full of fascinating stories. Our permanent exhibitions tell about the ironworks era, war history, and the time of great logging and timber floating. The guided tour of the ironworks introduces the clerk Sutinen, pauses at the eventful war history of Möhkö village, and covers the cabin law from the early part of the last century. The landscape of Möhkö is full of history, which the guide paints for the listeners to see. Blast furnaces glow with heat, countless Russians hide in their dugouts in the forest, and log drivers walk along the Koitajoki river with their packs on their backs.
